For 1080p and 2160p, you would want to maximize all the pixels you can get from a 4K TV screen. However, in 2023, almost all TVs are now 4K and above in resolution. It's up to you if you want to choose a UHD TV, or Ultra HD.

Let’s say you’ve made your decision. You have bought the audio systems, accessories and TV you desire. So where should you place your TV?

There is of course no ‘definite’ calculation for the distance between your viewing distance and screen size.

For instance, tomsguide suggest a different formula for 4K TVs by multiplying 1-1.5 your screen size for the optimal viewing distance.
